CAV GHANA 2013, MY EXPERIENCE
Every child has some artistic ability and
with the right environment and guidance they can discover their inner creative
genius. CAV GHANA 2013 was another given opportunity to help the kids develop their artistic talents and a chance to help make a difference and to be a part of progressive
community. I am proud to be part of the team and the project where we hosted more
than hundred kids to a week “SUMMER ART CLASSES”. The classes run between 12th
and 17th of August, 2013 with a great team of nine creative
instructors and facilitated classes in ballet (dance), traditional African
dance drama, and visual arts.
Creative skills help children to cope with
the change, communicate successfully and have great ideas, and more to that I
believe Art changes lives. It is both a powerful means of expression and a
recognized means of therapy. Art engagement is a rewarding platform to promote
children's development and well-being such as providing them with a creative
means of expression.
This year summer Art classes at the Village of Hope
Orphanage, Ghana was incredible success. Many thanks to the wonderful team
leader, Mai, you’ve been my inspiration many times and has always been a great
time working with you. I look forward to be part of more of such project in no
distance time, maybe soonest, as I am so passionate about children’s talent
development with a deep desire to inspire an artistic
future in a child.
